The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at the Clark

Things are decidedly different at the Clark these days! In the spirit of Alice’s adventures in Wonderland, don your most interesting hat and be part of the fun at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in celebration of the exhibition Clark Remix, a whole new way of looking at and interacting with many of the great works in the Clark’s collection. Featuring fanciful foods, daring drinks, hilarious hats, and mod music, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party takes place Saturday, February 11 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 ($40 members) and may be purchased online at clarkart.edu or by calling 413-458-0524.

Meet and greet regional artists on Saturday, February 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the 15 John Street Gallery in Hoosick Falls, New York. The open house is part of the village-wide day-long event called Hoosipaloosa that begins with guided meditation at 8 a.m. and ends with a community dinner at 5 p.m. Artists and artisans whose works are currently on exhibit at John Street Gallery will be on hand to meet the public and talk about their works.

Hoosick Falls Central School Jr./Sr. Choir is on the road again! They will be performing for the second consecutive year at the Troy Savings Bank High School Choral Festival XII with Albany Pro Musica. This event delivers a delightful and inspiring afternoon of great choral music, featuring more than 250 students from 7 area high schools. Each school performs its own set of musical offerings, and then the entire group joins Albany Pro Musica on stage for a 300-voice finale. It’s quite an experience!

The 2012 Choral Festival will be held on Sunday, February 12th at 4:00 p.m.. Tickets are $10 and is general seating.

To welcome members of the surrounding communities in to celebrate Catholic Schools Week, St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls is hosting a “Drop By and See Us” Open House this week through through Friday, February 3. Parents and students in Pre-K 3 through seventh grade are welcome to visit anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday and between 8:30 and 11 a.m. on Friday.
