Southern Vermont Garlic and Herb Festival
The Southern Vermont Garlic and Herb Festival, which has been voted one of the World’s Top Ten Garlic Festivals, will be held at Camelot Village on Saturday and Sunday, September 4 and 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
The Garlic and Herb Festival was voted one of the top ten fall events in Vermont by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, and Yankee Magazine voted it one of the top 20 Vermont events.
The Bennington Area Chamber of Commerce is delighted to be in the company of Garlic Festivals in France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Canada, Oregon, and the famous Gilroy Garlic Festival in California.
There will be demonstrations on how to plant garlic, braid garlic, and cooking with garlic along with tasty samples. Over 150 vendors will be offering you fresh garlic, baked goods, garlic remedies, garlic ice cream, herbal soaps, garlic cocktails at the beer garden, garlic crafts, Vermont maple products, children’s activities, entertainment and much more.
Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children 5 to 12 years of age; under five, no charge. Parking on site is free and well organized. This event is located on private property, so please leave your pets at home.
